| sCD25

Soluble CD25 (sCD25), also known as soluble IL-2Rα, plays a role in the early development of Th17 cells in vitro by inhibiting downstream signaling of the IL-2R. Although sCD25 does not interact with the T-cell surface, it specifically binds to secreted IL-2, indicating its ability to function as a decoy receptor for IL-2 in the T-cell microenvironment. sCD25 can promote the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases by enhancing the Th17 response through its capacity to sequester local IL-2.
